The God's Way Clothing Ministry was established to help those in need of clothes and do not have the means to take care of their own needs. The assistance covers an age range from newborn to elderly. It is assisted by several churches who donate resources to help this Ministry be fruitful and exist.
Group homes for the mentally challenged and autistic are given assistance on a regular basis.
Foster homes and grandparents with grandchildren have and are being assisted when they can show a definite need. A majority of the grandparents are taking care of their grandchildren and get very little to no assistance from Social Services and other programs.
We are grandparents raising grandchildren so I can, with "first hand" knowledge, personally testify how much assistance is given in these grandparent situations.
A new area being assisted by the Ministry is to help supply clothes for the needy from the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. These people are in special need of warm clothing and coats for the winter season.
A special "thank you" goes out to everyone that has helped to make this Clothing Ministry so present and such a help in the community.
God Bless,
(1) We are now trying to assist the homeless in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee getting them prepared as much as possible for the cold winter ahead. The means are in place to get the clothes distributed to these regions. Now all we need are the articles to distribute.
Some of these people are mentally challenged, some are Vietnam or other veterans, some are just down on their luck. Whichever the case, if they are homeless, it is almost impossible for them to get any kind of assistance from our government agencies.
We are especially in need of warm blankets, winter clothes, and warm coats and shoes.
As most of you know, the majority of the homeless are men but some are women so clothes for either gender will be greatly appreciated. If they are decent clothes, all will be put to good use in one of the programs.
We are presently restricted to being able to pick up donations in or near the Gastonia area. If you can make arrangements to get them to us, any donations will be appreciated. No Junk Please.
In no way do we gain monetarily from this ministry. It is a 100% charitable organization.
If you are interested in helping please contact us. Your email will not be given to anyone by any means. We appreciate any help that you can give and we have the utmost respect your privacy. Comments or questions are welcomed.

Note: The first load of clothes will leave for Asheville the week of 11/11/07. We are glad to report that the ministry has received 90 coats, more than 100 pair of slacks, and around 25 shirts. There is still a great need for blankets, quilts, and sleeping bags.
The ministry is has request for boys 4 clothes which we do not have. Any help on these items will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
