SelfPromotion.com - If you want more people visiting your web site, you must make sure that it is a search engine friendly site, and properly submit it to all of the major search engines. This site contains everything you need to know (and the tools you'll need) to do the job properly. This is a service with a wealth of information and run by a great guy to deal with, Robert Woodhead. I forgot to mention that this service is FREE! Go by and see what all he has to offer.
AssociatePrograms.com - This website is a good source of information for selling through affiliate programs and website selling in general. Allan includes a lot of good information about generating traffic to your website and many other useful topics. He has a forum and is very actively involved with the topics. I have been a subscriber to his newsletter for several years and have gotten a lot of good help from it.
Sam's Teach Yourself HTML in 10 Minutes - Even if you are working with website templates and using a web publishing program I recommend that you spend the small price of this book to know the general basics of HTML. This paperback book can save you hours of headaches even if you never build your own website. With templates, there will be small details that you would like to modify or have modified accidentally and want to correct but don't know how. This resource explains HTML in simple and illustrated terms.
The Copywriter's Handbook, Third Edition: A Step-By-Step Guide To Writing Copy That Sells. Revised and Expanded - This is another great resource if you ever plan to build any web pages for the sake of selling products directly. This is a book that will benefit anyone who writes ad copy of any type. Before I purchased it, I didn't have a clue of what the basics of copywriting were.
