| Hobbies are not practiced for financial gain but for the sake of interest and enjoyment. Some people carry their hobby to a point where it gets to be a profession and can sometimes produce a substantial living. Some of us play golf as a hobbies while the professional plays for a living. The same goes for cooking. A professional chef depends on it for a livelihood while an amateur cooks for the enjoyment.
Almost everyone has a hobby or something that he gets enjoyment out of doing. There are a lot of hobbies that you cannot make a living out of or even supplement your income but they are still enjoyable. Some people find certain hobbies boring and without appeal while others find them entertaining and appealing.
Some people find bird watching very entertaining and relaxing while others like myself see no appeal in it whatsoever. Some of the hobbies that I like may strike someone else as weird with no meaning whatsoever. To me, a hobby should be calming and enjoyable.
Whatever your hobby or hobbies may be, they should be pleasing to you and should not become an obsession. There is something out there that can appeal to everyone and give them pleasure while doing it.
